New ERASMUS+ Project on Adaptive Expertise

Warnborough College Ireland is a key partner on a new ERASMUS+ project entitled “Developing Adaptive Expertise to Foster an Effective Learning Environment” (Project Code: 2020-1-BE02-KA201-074662).

The project is managed by Catholic Education Flanders (Belgium), and aims to replace outmoded forms of teaching with new tools, guides and practice for schools, teams and teachers to become adaptive experts.

Adaptive expertise (AE) is an overarching approach to better tackle segregation and to realise inclusion through differentiation based on formative evaluation. Classroom situations have become more complex. Migration, societal diversity, EU member states’ inclusion policies … all of these make classrooms more diverse. To increase quality in education, schools and teachers must find ways to address the diversity challenges and foster effective environments to optimize teaching and learning.

Warnborough will be developing an Online Learning Environment to host the necessary tools, guides and resources for adaptive teachers alongside the University College Leuven-Limburg (Belgium), Fontys University (Netherlands) and the National Education Institute of Slovenia.

The project will begin in November 2020 and last for 2 years.
